A few options and features were extra on the 2012 Tricolore version, like the new generation DDA+ (Ducati Data Analyser) with GPS lap time function and a titanium racing muffler by Ducati Performance, but otherwise it carries the same equipment as the S version.

At the foundation of the bike sits the 1198cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine, with a whopping power of 194 hp at 10,750 rpm and 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) of torque. The Tricolore comes equipped with a six-speed DSQ (Ducati Quick Shift).

The monocoque aluminum frame uses the engine as a stressed member and weighs less than the old conventional frame. The suspension is handled by Ohlins NIX30 43mm, a fully adjustable USD fork at the front, and a fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit at the rear.

ABS-equipped Brembo calipers are in charge of braking, pressing the two 330 mm semi-floating discs at the front and the single 245 mm disc at the rear.

In 2022, the Ducati 1199 Panigale S Tricolore was for sale with a price starting from $14,000.

The history of the Ducati Panigale family is going back to its first days in 2011. Another member ready to join the family is the new 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale S, designed as a more powerful version of the Panigale, and with more new features.

The 2013 S model is powered by the same 1198cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine as the lesser model, sending the power through a six-speed gearbox that releases an output power of 194 hp at 10,750 rpm and 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) of torque.

The 1199 Panigale S is equipped with a cast aluminum monocoque chassis, replacing Ducati’s conventional frame. The suspension consists of a fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 43 mm fork at the front, and a fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit at the back.

In addition to the previous model, the S comes with full LED Headlights, a carbon fiber front mudguard, Marchesini machine-finished wheels, and Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES). The Panigale S puts its faith in the two Brembo 330 mm discs at the front and one 245 mm disc at the back for stopping power.

Ducati made a special edition of this 1199 Panigale S, in memory of one of the world’s greatest Formula 1 drivers, Ayrton Senna. The bike celebrated 20 years since his death, and it was called Ducati 1199 Panigale S Senna. This commemorative motorcycle was exclusively made for Brazil, and only 161 units have been manufactured.

In 2022, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale S was for sale with a price starting from $13,500.

As the Panigale family is getting bigger and bigger, it is making room for another version of the 1199 Panigale motorcycle. The base model, S, and R are the three versions of the 1199 Panigale family. In 2013 Ducati brought to the surface the new 1199 Panigale, which was the sportiest model built by the company.

The new model was grabbing its power from the 1198cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine, delivering a power of 194 hp at 10,750 rpm and releasing a torque of 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) at 9,000 rpm. The Superquadro engine was part of the monocoque cast aluminum frame and reduced the bike’s weight by five kg (11 lbs).

At the front of the bike there is a Marzocchi 50 mm pressurized and fully adjustable fork, and a fully adjustable unit if fitted at the back. The braking power was delivered by two Brembo 330 mm discs at the front and one 245 mm at the rear. The black 10-spoked wheels tied to a pair of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires were reduced in weight by 0.5 kg (1.1 lbs) prior to the previous model.

Allthough it is a powerful bike, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale S is also user-friendly thanks to 21st-century technologies, and it weighs just 166 kg (366 lbs).

In 2022, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale was for sale with prices starting from $10,000.

The Panigale family from Ducati, named so after the small town of Borgo Panigale where the company is based, started to gain family members. The first one was the base 1199 model introduced in 2011. In 2012 Ducati welcomes to the family the 1199 Panigale S, which came to be the most search-for motorcycle in House of Bologna.

At its core, the Panigale S was driven by the 1199cc four-stroke V-Twin liquid-cooled engine, building up a power of 195 hp at 10.750 rpm and delivering a torque on 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) at 9,000 rpm through a six-gearbox.

The 1199 Panigale S comes with an aluminum monocoque frame and with a more race-oriented suspension. At the front sits a 43 mm Ohlins NIX30 fully adjustable upside-down, tin-coated fork, and a fully adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage at the back. At the front wheel are two Brembo 330 mm discs and a single 245 mm disc at the back.

Some of the options for Ducati 1199 Panigale S are the Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), ride by wire with three riding modes, and an Ohlins steering damper.

In 2022, the Ducati 1199 Panigale was for sale on the used market with a price ranging from $12,500 to $15,500.

In 2011 Ducati started a new family of sports motorcycles called Panigale, named after the small town of Borgo Panigale. The first to arrive to the family was the Ducati 1199 Panigale introduced in 2011 at the Milan Motorcycle show. The 1199 Panigale was manufactured between 2012 and 2014.

At the time of its introduction, Ducati said that the 1199 Panigale was the world’s most powerful production motorcycle, carrying a twin-cylinder engine. Well hidden inside the frame is the powerful 1198cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that develops 195 hp at 10,750 rpm and 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) at 9,000 rpm, sending the power to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox. The dry weight of the 1199 Panigale is 164 kg (362 lbs), and it could reach a top speed of 285 kph (177 mph).

Ducati also claimed that the 1199 Panigale had the highest power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios of production motorcycles at the time.

The monocoque frame was made of aluminum and set the benchmark for future Panigale models. Mounted on the frame, the suspension is composed of a 50 mm Marzocchi fully adjustable upside-down fork at the front and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage at the back.

In 2022, the Ducati 1199 Panigale was for sale with prices starting from $12,900.
